Privacy Policy
Covered helps you keep track of return windows and warranties for things you buy. This policy explains what the app reads, what it keeps, and what it never does.
The short version
Covered reads order emails on your iPhone. Your email and the purchases found in it are not sent to us or anyone else. We don't sell data, show ads, or track you.
Email access
If you connect Gmail, Covered asks Google for read-only access (the gmail.readonly permission). It cannot send, delete, or change email. The app searches for messages whose subject looks like an order, receipt, shipment, or delivery from the last two years, and reads those messages to find the store, item names, prices, order numbers, and dates.
Where processing happens
Emails are downloaded directly from Google to your device over an encrypted connection and processed on the device, using rules built into the app and, where available, Apple's on-device language model. Email content never passes through a server we run.
What is stored
The purchases Covered finds, and anything you add or edit, are stored in the app on your device. Your Google sign-in token is stored in the iOS Keychain on this device only. If you back up your iPhone, the purchase list may be included in that backup, which is controlled by Apple and you.
Google user data
Covered's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Gmail data only to show you your purchases, return windows, and warranties. We do not transfer it to anyone, use it for advertising, or let humans read it.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your device. No server is involved.
Links you open
When you tap a link to a store's return page or a brand's support page, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Analytics
The app contains no analytics or advertising code. Our website uses a cookie-free analytics tool only if you accept it in the site's consent banner.
Your choices
Disconnect Gmail in Settings to revoke Covered's access with Google. You can also remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Delete all data in Settings erases everything Covered stored. Deleting the app does the same.
Children
Covered is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.

If you allow it in the banner, we count visits with Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not collect personal data. If you join the launch list or send a support message, we keep your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete launch-list addresses after launch. Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are a person without tracking cookies. Change your choice any time with Privacy choices at the bottom of the page.
